Joshua’s Origin Story
A proud native son of Iowa, Joshua headed West with his B.A. in economics from the University of Northern Iowa to take on Hollywood.
He arrived at the Pepperdine School of Law, in the middle of a writer’s strike, without knowing a single person in California. Within days, he landed his first gig — clearing music rights on American Idol. Joshua prides himself on his Midwest work values and belief in the power of determination and hustle backed by integrity.
Equal parts Midwest charm and entertainment industry tenacity, he is committed to his clients. Joshua has a reputation as an ally of diverse storytellers and a contributor to female empowerment in the industry.
In law school, Joshua served as vice president of the Student Body and president of Pepperdine’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society. He stays in front of young minds as an adjunct lecturer on entertainment business law at the Los Angeles Film School. After all this time, the dream that drove Joshua to Los Angeles remains: to witness one of his clients receive an Oscar from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.
Joshua is a cinephile, literati, and food enthusiast. He loves spending quality time with his wife, Silvia, and their dog, Khloe.
